Our History
Babylon Gardens began its activities in around 600 BC ... The reason for the construction of the first ambitious project was the depression of Amnitis, wife of the king of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar II. Amnitis was the daughter of the king of "Media"- which was a green country. In Babylon however, there was no green and as a result Amnitis was feeling depressed. Therefore, in order to change his wife's mood, King Nebuchadnezzar II decided to upgrade the country environmentally through the development of greenery. The result of this effort was the construction of the famous gardens of Babylon, an inspiring wonder garden which ended up being included in the seven wonders of the ancient world!
Our Profile
Babylon Gardens continues its course in modern times ... Our company has been active since 1975, initially as an agency that developed and installed irrigation and automation systems. Later, we expanded our business by including garden construction and maintenance in our main services. Over the years, our company has added to its credit a variety of high prestige projects in the business sector including new and old gardens of private houses, hotels, green spaces, green projects in public streets and squares and even in camps, industries and factories - both in Cyprus and abroad. This is outstanding evidence of the great results provided by Babylon Gardens due to our credible and quality services. The valuable experience accumulated over the years, along with the vast number of worthwhile projects which have been completed, justify that Babylon Gardens is fairly considered to be the fastest growing green development and water resources management company in Cyprus.
